Abstract
This present study was undertaken to evaluate the prevalence of the serological markers of hepatitis B virus and various liver disease from 1983 to 1987.
Five HBV markers, HBs Ag, Anti-HBs, Anti-1413c, HBe Ag, Anti-HBe, were detected by EIA in the case of acute viral hepatitis(AVH), chronic active hepatitis(CAH), chronic persistant hepatitis (CPH) , liver cirrhosis ( LC) , primary hepatocellular carcinoma( PHC) , alcoholic hepatitis(AH ).
The results were as fellows;

2) The positivity of Anti-HBs was 34.3% in AH, 33.6% in CPH, 30.2% in PH 20.3% in LC, 17.7% in CAH, and 17.0% in AVH. The overall positivity of Anti-HBs was 25.5%.
3) The positivity of Anti-HBc was 98% in CAH, 97.1% in PHC, 94% in LC, 38.4% in CPH, 85% in AVH, and 75.9% in AH, The overall positivity of Anti-HBc was 89.r%.
4) The positivity of HBe Ag was 54% in CAH, 45.5% in CPH, 39.6% in AVH, 25.5% in LC, 23.2% in PHC, and 9.5% in AH. The overall positivity of HBe Ag was 32.9%.
5) The positivity of Anti-HBe is 38.8% in PHC, 30.1% in LC, 24.7 in AVH, 20.2% in CAH, and 16.1% in CPH. The overall positivity of Anti-HBe was 26%.
